What means "Luna sic umbra fugit, sol sic lux vitam regit"?

Beautiful pics Pietro :)

It's a beautiful one!

I'm enjoying the collection of sundial photos. They all look terrific.

That's a neat one! I would love to stretch out on that scroll!

Pietro - You very well may be correct that you are unlikely to find a Packard Caribbean in Italy. In 1955, only 500 were built and it is estimated that fewer than 100 of them survive. In 1956, the production was slightly above 500, but again, probably fewer than 100 survive.

Hi Pietro! Another beautiful one!!

Blogtrotter Two is showing some incredible rocks by the sea... Enjoy and have a great week!

ahh, the sundial series--this is an especially lovely one! And I had missed your polenta building post, but of course now I'm wishing I had polenta for dinner like my father used to make [ironically I hated polenta when I was growing up!]
Thanks for sharing your eye for beauty, Pietro.

Hi Pietro!
Thank you for your kindness:)
I saw a news on TV, in Europe it's already way too hot, right?
It's hot here, too. it's kind of muggy!
these days I've been busy at work.
How about you?
Have a happy week :)

Davvero molto bella questa meridiana, così bene inserita in quel contesto.
Grazie per la condivisione!

Hi Pietro, this is such a pleasing photo. It talks to me;
"Mach es wie die Sonnenuhr zaehl' die heiteren Stunden nur". (Roughly translated "do as the sundial does count the sonny hours only." T.

Another beautiful sundial!
Just love the composition of the first image - the colors are wonderful!

Viva le meridiane!!!
Buon mercoledi:-)

Un saluto e buon proseguimento di settimana anche a te Pietro!

Very nice sundial, I have only ever seem them standing not on a wall.

What does "Luna sic umbra fugit, sol sic lux vitam regit" mean?

Hi Pietro!
Thank you for your kind words!
actually I've got a cold now.
don't catch a cold, Pietro!
