TAV 4

NO TAV is a movement of the population of the Susa Valley against the construction of a railway line of high-speed train (TAV) Turin - Lyon, in the construction of the so-called Corridor 5 that should connect across eastern Europe (beginning from Kiev), with the major cities of western Europe (including Turin, Marseille, Barcelona to Lisbon).

Oltre alla bellezza del paesaggio condivido in pieno il pensiero dei valsusini: NOTAV!!!
Un cordiale saluto

I do understand the movement against construction. It is all about profit for large companies without consideration for the overall effects. We're seeing this type of protest here in the states regarding a number of proposed projects. Marvelous photos as always, Pietro!

Thanks Pietro, for your answer.

Seeing again your photos, I am impressed with the mountain and the rocks on it. The castle on top looks amazing too.

Enjoy your day!

ciao Pietro.

Pietro, is it safe to say that you are not in favor of the TAV? Your photos tell the story well. I love the second photo of the balcony--the contrast between the old [and beautiful] with 'progress.'
Have a great weekend!

Buona sera Pietro, conoscere le lingue straniere deve essere una cosa meravigliosa per comunicare con tutto il mondo... ma NOTAV è universale per fortuna.
Bellissimo sabato e domenica :-)

Regina

Ciao Pietro,
allora No TAV:))! É molto bello il paesaggio. Sarebbe un peccato rovinarlo. Trovo convincenti le tue foto.
Baci e buona giornata

I hope the Susa Valley wins.
Your photos convey the feeling of the people.

Pietro, thanks for your thought-provoking comments. I thought, and answered your question.

Pietro: People can be so strong with their feelings about change. Both sides probably feel strongly as to what they want.

The scenery is so amazing here I can see why the residents would feel so strongly about preserving it!

It would be handy to have a train line between the two cities, but I suppose at the expense of the environment.

I like that last photo which shows a structure at the top of the mountain.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

Trotter
I was just thinking how nice it would be to have a train to get there from Lisbon... ;)

Mariposa
more NO Tav! have they started constructing it though?

Luma Rosa
I remember wondering about this subject here on your blog. Unfortunately governments "listen" to people only when they want votes, after the hearing is providential! This movement goes away and we have not got the boycott? Good luck! Good start to the week! Beijus,

Hi Pietro, I can not comment on the political side of this dispute. As I look at those beautiful photos I do understand that the people there do not want a disruption of their peaceful lives.Progress, when the country site suffers is not always the best!
