Piazza San Carlo




Piazza San Carlo, known as "il salotto di Torino" (Turin's salon, or drawing room), is one of Europe's largest public squares. On the south side are the twin 17th-century churches of Santa Cristina and San Carlo Borromeo.

Il salotto is absolutely appropriate for this magnificant square. No, sadly the Gold Coast does not have a place like this. We are still young and "rich" my seven year old grandson sang for me the anthem; instead of young and free!

These are wonderful photos Pietro. The square is really large. The churches and other buildings of wonderful architectural style with the equestrian statue in the centre make this square so attractive and impressive.

what a wonderful Piazza!
by the way I like self-service restaurants very much. it's inexpensive and easy to eat everything. when I went to Firenze, I went to a self-service restaurant. we were able to have very good pasta. it was much better than other restaurants!
we enjoyed eat pasta also salad!
