Exilles

The little medieval town of Exilles (870m, about 280 inhabitants) is spectacularly located in a rocky valley among the mountains in the Val di Susa (Piedmont region). Photos taken from the main road leading to the village of Bardonecchia.

I am glad that still small villages like this one, exist in Italy. I mean the middle ages were far from being perfect. The houses and roofs look traditional, inside I guess they are brought into the 21. century with all its creatures comforts. I would not wish less to the inhabitants of this beautiful village.

These are amazing. The built landscape seems to be hugged by the natural one!

Ciao Pietro, buona giornata.
